Bodog Poker has New Software

Bodog Poker has added new poker software to their site and they talk about it in a "Press Release" at Calvin Ayre dot-com...

Quote:
Bodog has now taken a further step in implementing their Recreational Poker Model by launching new poker software. Bodog Network’s VP considers this latest move to be an industry game changer as well as providing players with some of the best software in the business.

The new Bodog Poker software has some nice features and here's what they say about those...

Quote:
The new features include:

i) ‘Rabbit Cam’: a feature whereby you can see the cards that would have been dealt even if the hand has finished before all cards are dealt. BEWARE: this can frustrate and please equal measure!

ii) Competitive rake

iii) Improved accessibility and site speed

iv) In-Client Blackjack

v) Play More Tables: Play up to 20 tables

vi) New Tournament Formats: More variety in our tournament schedule including Omaha, Shootouts, Knock-outs & Heads-Up tournies

vii) The industry’s most robust data protection system

…and, of course, the controversial all-site anonymous tables...

Read the Press Release at Calvin Ayre to learn more, where you can read comments made by players and by Calvin Ayre himself.

See what's new for yourself at Bodog Poker.

Re: Bodog Poker has New Software

Thank you for the update on Bodogs new software. While I am not much of a poker player, I am sure that you poker players will be satisfied with the changes that Bodog has made.

And you are right,

i) ‘Rabbit Cam’: a feature whereby you can see the cards that would have been dealt even if the hand has finished before all cards are dealt. BEWARE: this can frustrate and please equal measure!
Would you really want to know?

Re: Bodog Poker has New Software

Sorry I'm late with my reply, bartongrl1, but I think some players like to see how they would have done if they stayed in a hand.
I like the idea of a rabbit cam myself.

And speaking of Bodog Poker having new software:

Today Bodog announced re-branding their site altogether, and call it Bovada.

So, don't freak out when you think you're going to a Bodog site and end up on Bovada instead, it's the new Bodog site.

I'm sure more news will follow as the net fills up with info about the Bodog changeover.

Re: Bodog Poker has New Software

Thanks for the further update on the Bodog situation.

I dont think I would like the "rabbit cam" simply because I would probably quit. But then on the other hand, it might be good for people that are learning the game.

Do you think it would help any for new players?

Re: Bodog Poker has New Software

I really don't think the rabbit cam will help a new poker player decide how to play...

It's basically an extra feature that Bovada (Bodog) has in their new poker section, where players can see the last card if they happen to fold early at the end of a game.

Seeing the rabbit card does not mean if it was a card you could have won with in the last game, it will be a card you can use in the next game, it's just a feature that many poker players like.

Re: Bodog Poker has New Software

Thank you for clarifying the use of the rabbit cam. I didnt quite grasp the implications of what it was actually for.

I can play poker but havent for years so am not up with the latest online technologies that they have for playing the game. Thats why it is so nice to have some one knowledgable around to explain these things to us.

Re: Bodog Poker has New Software

Thank you bartongrl1. I remember seeing the rabbit cam a few times on televised shows, and sometimes the card that never got flipped over would have played a big part in the game to who the winner would have been.

Re: Bodog Poker has New Software

A lot has happened with Bodog poker, or now Bovada poker, over the past few months.

After the rabbit cam and all that sprucing up, and changing their name just in time for the DoJ to seize the Bodog domain...

Now Bovada has announced new player restrictions to four US states. This from Casino Affiliate Programs, March 14th 2012...

Quote:
It was reported late last week that Bovada, the Bodog arm that accepts US players, began blocking all new signups from Maryland, New York, Utah and Washington.
Find out more by reading the online casino news at Casino Affiliate Programs.

I can't wait until this online poker banning fiasco is over and all US players can safely gamble online the way they use to.
