The Wire Act in Europe ?

The infamous American "Wire act" could be emigrating to Europe soon.
It is already reported that legislative bodies in France - Greece - Spain and Germany are making such moves.
Do you think it can be done ?
If so, can it be enforced or will it prove impractical ?

In my view there is a lot of complacency around.
The internet bookies tend to regard the monopolies as non-entities and furthermore they think the monopolies do them a hell of a lot of good with the lousy prices they are offering.
The bookies are of course entirely within their rights to view things that way, but the monopolies have the state power behind them, so it's dangerous.

I don't care where each and everyone of you place their bets.
In fact if the state owned companies were to improve their prices instead of allowing the markets to open, it's one and the same thing to me.

I believe the bettors from all over Europe should have their say on the matter, through an official body.
After all we are consumers just like everyone else, but the state monopolies refuse to accept that the gambler is a consumer (he is something else they say - a sick person).

To start a "European gamblers union", it calls for someone with authority at the head of affairs, otherwise it cannot be done.
I and most of you do not have such powers, so I 'm launching this thread basically to find out what other people, from Europe basically, think about it.

I believe we may lose the war in the end but without such a union we will certainly lose it. Call me a pessimist if you like.
