The OPU Interview with Virtual Danny, Virtual Group Casino Manager.
Part II
Thatch: That’s a question that would have belonged in the first part of our interview, but was left out… Do you have hobbies, or other favorite pass times that you have not told us about yet?
Danny: Drawing by the way is also one of them. It’s been 5 years since I have, but I used to love drawing. I’m into abstract mostly; I did however create my character for my children’s book by drawing it within 5 years, so I should say I haven’t done it in 5 years LOL.
Thatch: From what you know, why do you think that some casinos have cheating software and/or do not pay their winners? What is your take on this issue? Are some rogues in this business just to make a lot of quick cash, rob the players and run?
Danny: I would have to ask you what you mean by cheating software. Are you speaking of an 18 year old wiz kid that comes up with his own casino software to make a quick buck? Or are you speaking of RTG? As far as not paying winners, I really can’t answer why certain casinos don’t pay their winners because I would just be speculating on it. There could be a number of reasons. They are just out to make a quick buck and close down after getting a bit… They could have a winner that the casino finds out is a ‘wise guy’ and by rights should have not played from the get go. Why should casinos be any different then sports books? In sports books if you have a wise guy and find out, he doesn’t get paid. And you don’t hear lip from him either, he just walks away and tries to get in the next one to rip off. They might even not pay winners because they just don’t want to, maybe they only have so much to pay and pay in the order of importance. I really don’t know why some casinos don’t pay their winners.
Thatch: What is the worst part of your daily work?
Danny: The last 30 minutes. I always want to walk away for the night knowing I have everything completed. I want to make sure “My Guy” got their cash back, I would want to make sure I answer that last email and not leave him hanging till tomorrow, because believe it or not, I have players that if they were to get cash back, they would email me, and if I don’t answer them they would either just wait or deposit again and wait till the next day till I gave the cash back. Some of “My Guys” wouldn’t ask my co workers, they would just wait. So, knowing that I try to make sure all are taken care of before I split. In other words, the worst part of my work is the closing, because I get stressed out and overwhelmed with a lot at times, wanting to make sure loose ends are tied before I split. That, and the fact that I didn’t have any New York pizza for the whole day, LOL.
Thatch: What’s the best part, what you enjoy the most?
Danny: There’s a combination here on what the best part is and what I really enjoy. Getting deposits from my promo is the number one best part. It tells me they enjoyed my promo and liked my idea for the day and were attracted enough to it to deposit. You see the promos I send out are mine. I come up with a majority of them. I come up with the way I want to present it, the color I add, the fonts I use. I don’t necessarily come up with the Bonus % all the time but they way it’s presented is all me! I really take a freaky pride in them.
That’s why a while ago when you invited me in, I ask only 2 things of you. Not to make fun of my spelling and to not make fun of my promos. I have a complex about my spelling LOL, and deeply work hard on my promos. When players deposit with them that makes me think I came up with something good for the day, I did something someone liked. You know what I mean? It’s like saying someone likes me today. It’s a cool feeling. Its not me saying Yeah, I got another one to deposit, It’s me doing the Julia Roberts “ You like me, You really like me” LOL, and if you ever made fun of my promos? Whoooooo lets just say you would never exist in my world. My view of you wouldn’t be a nice one. Like that day long ago I did a McDanny promo poking fun at McDonald’s. Another forum guy who I don’t personally know but think is a piece of *** work, made fun of it… I will never have respect for this person ever. Man just listening to myself say things like this scares me, LOL DO I NOT HAVE A LIFE???????? LOL
Thatch: Cheating players... Do you have any that try and cheat your casino? How do they cheat and what makes them think then might get away with it?
Danny: I do need you to be specific when saying this word cheat. I have to tell you this is a powerful word, just like Love and Friend. Very powerful and should be explained. People can look at this word as a player using a machine to “cheat”, or a player looking for the right bonus to use that will guarantee them a win when they were not allowed to use that bonus, yet it was redeemed so they feel they should be allowed. That may be considered cheating as well.
Thatch: What measures do you take with the culprits?
Danny: I spam them with my McDonalds Promos LOL. I call them 3am in the morning. If they are men I get a woman to call hoping a wife or girlfriend answers then have them say “Oh, I’m sorry he didn’t tell me he was married.” If they are a woman I simple read off their home address and ask them “How long are you going to be home for the night”? Or after I get ‘taken’ by them I simply wait till the nights over and take the family out the next day on the new 10 foot blow up raft with motor that I just bought on line with their credit card. LOL, I usually feel better after that… LOL
Thatch: Danny! Surely you are pulling our leg there…?
Danny: Of course I am… I’d never do such a thing and could not do it to begin with LOL, anyone who knows me and you should know me a bit by now, knows that I have a well balanced sense of humor…
Thatch: What definitions would you give the famous expressions: Bonus Abuser and Advantage Player?
Danny: A bonus Abuser is a player that takes the bonus for the sole purpose of cashing out $1 after the set play for that particular bonus EACH and EVERY TIME they deposit! In other words, they don’t play to play and hope to win THEY CHEAT… LOL. Hmm yes, now you can use that word. They play to only take the bonus to cash out and make money that they really didn’t earn. It’s cool for a player to take a bonus and then reach the playthrough and then cash out, that’s fine! That’s why we give them bonuses and set playthroughs on them - so the player has a chance with the extra money, and at the same time the casino has a chance, an even leverage, so to speak, with the player at that point with the playthrough. But, its only cool if not abused in such a way that you do it on purpose EACH AND EVERY TIME or you lose sight of the reason why you started playing in the first place, which was for the fun and excitement of winning, and you now are only playing to cash out, only playing for that $1 over play! Advantage player is a player that doesn’t even need a bonus, bottom line: ‘wise guy’, so to speak.
Thatch: By the way, I’ve received a recent promo where you’ve changed the term Advantage Player into Advanced Players. I liked the term… Now: How quick is Virtual these days at paying players (those who play with bonuses vs. those who play without bonuses?) Your site and promos state a 3 to 5 day payouts.
Danny: No difference whatsoever! It doesn’t matter if you took a bonus or not, it will still take 2 months for you to get paid, LOL! Seriously, it doesn’t matter if you took a bonus or not, that’s not even looked at…!
Thatch: To be honest with you, and that’s me, I feel much more comfortable since I’ve gotten your email stating that all payouts will now be processed by you – at least I know the person that will handle my cashout! Now, some say that some countries have more gamblers, per capita then others. Do you subscribe to that concept? Do Americans or the British gamble more than players from Denmark, etc…?
Danny: I heard that as well. I have to tell you with all honesty I can’t answer that about “My Guys” if that’s what you’re also asking. I treat everyone the same, ask around and you’ll find this out to be true. From a $10 to a $1000 I treat them the same and never look at them differently then one another. I never really thought of this question more then once. I did one time think about it when for reasons I don’t remember, 2 accounts came to my attention and both were from like Indonesia. I then for a moment began to think Hmm… I wonder which country gambles the most… then the thought just died because I had to turn my attention to give a free chip to someone, LOL.
Thatch: The new Virtual. The new concept, the way I understand it, and you’ve told me that I’ve got it right. That would make for many questions and answers back and forth… I’ve tried hard to make it as simple as I can. There’s several ‘clones’ or identical Virtual casino sites, can I elaborate this, and then you can confirm my understanding?
Danny: They are not clones! They are each their own so to speak. Yes you can play a bonus in each. You may have 1 account in each one. When I say account I mean you can actually sing up a new and different username and deposit and redeem codes in each one. You can even, and this is the best part, log onto Crystal (or any other) with your Virtual user name if you’re not doing well in Virtual, and your money will follow you. No need to even deposit again. They are each their own. Not doing well in one, go to the other. It’s really a neat idea. Go ahead.
Thatch: OK I won’t call them clones, I knew that you didn’t like the term, but I thought I’d mention the word because there are many that do refer to Virtual’s separate casinos as such, and do not understand the concept. Here I go. In the five following casinos, I can have an account at each, and take a bonus at each. Your words on that is “United, yet fully separate” from one another. The 5 casinos are:
TheVirtualCasino.com
CrystalClubCasino.com
WintItCasino.com
VegasStripCasino.com
Spin2WinCasino.com
I could open an account at each, like Thatch1 at the first, Thatch2 at the second, Thatch3 at the third, etc. Then take a bonus that’s applicable for each. The new concept is that even if Thatch2 has a balance at the third casino, he could go to that third casino and play as Thatch2 and my balance from the second casino would follow me there. And if my luck is not doing well, I could log out then log back in as Thatch3 and play that account. In other words they are the same, but at the same time they’re all fully separate. An extreme example would be that I could play all my 5 accounts, by logging out as one and logging in as another with up to 5 usernames without impunity.
Danny: Yes that’s about it. We have decided it was high time to allow you guys more then one account because now, those 5 casinos just mentioned are all separate. Before, you'd go to anyone of those and click download and it would take you to The Virtual Casino and download as just that. But now those casinos are separate. They have their own random generators. It’s like playing 5 different RTGs.
You are now allowed to have 5 different IDs, 1 in each Casino. If you have a cashout pending in one, yes, you can deposit in the other and use any code for that casino and continue playing. You can even do this... Say you deposit in The Virtual, not doing so well? Log off and then log onto Crystal with your Virtual ID and your money will follow you into that casino. Now play another RTG casino with another random generator. It’s really cool. We still only give 1 free chip before each deposit, so if you received a free chip say in WinItCasino, we can’t turn around and give you one in VegasStripCasino.
Thatch: As much as I tried to be clear, there’s no doubt that there could be questions on this. I understand the concept fully, after thought, but some may need this to be put in a different way. An entirely new concept sometimes has to be reflected on to be understood. Some of us are aware that you’ve tried your best to explain this ‘somewhere else’, where some people simply refused (or did not even try) to understand. It’s different here, and what’s perhaps the biggest problem that we have with the ‘somewhere else’ mentioned: comprehension...
Danny: What some people have to see is: Things have changed dramatically. Rules have changed dramatically. Ideas have changed dramatically. And will continue, especially in the next coming Days and Weeks…!
Note to members: the following question was asked before Danny became full manager, and was not revised.
Thatch: What are the settings at the games at Virtual, (BJ, slots settings, Video poker settings) if you are in the know about this?
Danny: It’s now 8 decks in Black Jack if I remember correctly. Funny but I don’t know of the slots and video are because I didn’t handle that area nor have I had in all the time working there have I had anyone ask me that question. Now, for you guys thinking “yeah but you were a customer service rep. and should know these things”. Understand, My work here shifted in a direction that no one ever knew would go. Although I have been there for 3 years, my main thing was, and is getting personal with players and making sure that “My Guys” were taken care of. My dealings have always been personal. Now ask me who had a grandson or who just moved and how much it cost him and you’d be in my ball park…!
Thatch: What is the average player’s deposit?
Danny: There is no such thing as an average player in my eyes…
Thatch: OK, we’ll leave that out… How many players actually play at Virtual without a bonus?
Danny: Hmm… There are some, but the Bonus Players overwhelmingly outweigh them! If I had to give you a quick answer for how many players that I know of, that played tonight without a bonus I’d say 1! LOL. And I always have Many, Many players… I had a daily guy who never, ever took a bonus. He plays every day. Even he now takes a bonus…
Thatch: How many players actually win – with a bonus – as opposed to playing without a bonus?
Danny: If your question is do players that take bonuses win more often, the answer is Yes, WITHOUT a doubt…!
Thatch: How many players, if you know, percentage-wise (or your own guess) just play for fun and don’t care if they win or lose - as opposed to those who absolutely aim to win?
Danny: My quick educated guess, without thinking, would be that 20% don’t care.
Thatch: What advise would you give our readers about online gambling?
Danny: Understand that it’s a business…! But with all businesses, find the one that treats you with respect and one that gives you what YOU want in a bonus play, not what THEY want. Don’t settle for just the respect and not the bonus (chances are the respect is just a facade anyway just to get your deposit). Nor should you just settle for a casino that gives you the right bonus. Even if it’s all the time…! - Without the respect! It’s your money BEFORE it’s theirs, and you should be the one to say how it’s spent. And you can say it by just not playing with casinos that don’t give you both a good bonus And Respect…!
Thatch: Do you have parting words, something to add?
Danny: Well, as you know from an earlier email, I found out that I have been made the new Manager of The Virtual Casino Group. I know your policy of not allowing Managers to post. I hope that you change this soon. It is real important for communication to develop between players and workers. For instance, if I had not stumbled onto your forum by accident, and had you not allowed me in, My views on players that post in forums would have stayed the same. “They just are complainers; they are just free chippers etc.” Because I came in, that view has been thrown out. The same can be said about me. Had I not come in, you guys may have thought I was scum because you think I spam players all the time… But now at least you know a bit more about me, and will change that point of view. I’m gonna still spam ya but maybe you won’t think of me as scum. LOL! I’m kidding, I’m kidding…!
