About being poor - Page 2

there are a lot of ways to define being poor having nothing is poor. by that i mean no roof over your head no food no way to get any of these things . living on the streets is poor . but having enough to get by and knowing you have the means of getting by. so you dont have a new car, if the one you have runs maintane it to keep it running, if you have a home or rent thats better then living under a bridge or in a box or in a subway . (just my own point of view)

People always think that life is rich when they ave tons and millions of money what they dont understand is that happiness is the #1 wealth you could ever have.

That is so true. But people put too much into being rich. And still they arent happy.

To me wealth comes in the form or health, family, friends, material things come and go dont get me wrong they are nice to have but they really dont mean that muck to me not as much as my healthy family and friends

Well I don't consider myself poor but I can relate to all of those things!! I consider myself frugal (cheap). LOL

We have enough money to get along on and thats whats important. But I am rich with children, grandchildren, sunrises, sunsets, snow, bright sunny summer days, the smell of earth after a summer rain. Frogs, cats, dogs. I have so much to be thankful for and so much to love and enjoy, and you cant get much richer than that!!!

I'm not poor by any means. But I do know lots of people who would consider me to be simply because I can't afford to travel when I want or buy a big 50" HD TV set.

I know exactly what you mean. Everyones interpretation of "rich" is different.

As long as the bills are paid and we have food, thats the important thing.

I grew up what some would say as poor. But I was rich where the rich kids werent my mom cared. Where I live now people think Im rich because of my house and cars. But we work hard for these things and suffer just like them monetarily. Never judge the book by the cover. Its either gonna be the best thing you have ever read or its pages are all blank. What do ya do throw it away in that case or do YOU help fill them in?

I am not so sure that being rich would be the answer either. But there sure could be a middle road there somewhere. lol
