MySpace to give up sexoffender data

NEW YORK - Faced with legal demands from state attorneys general, MySpace.com said Monday it will release data on registered sex offenders it has identified and removed from the popular social networking Web site.

There more big social networks you can meet people on. Plus someone people dont use there real name to sign on, just like when they join a forum. Facebook, hi5, friendster, etc has million plus people and they dont check ages. Adults have to teach there kids not to mess with pervert adults, dont meet anyone online unless they part of some bigger group and then still take someone with you.

As far as teaching kids where they should and shouldnt go online, we can do that, but a lot of kids sneak and go where they shouldnt anyway. Especially young teens that are striving for their independence and looking for anyone that will listen to them.

If MySpace can hand the feds the names of these people, then more power to them.
