Google, Yahoo Face Civil Suit Regarding Internet Gambling Promotions
While Internet search engine giants Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) and Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) recently settled with the United States government on claims the companies made millions through promoting illegal online gambling, a civil trial set to begin on February 11 will further test the liability of these companies in California, and will ask the courts to further restrict the ability of these Internet giants from similar action in the future

Its been illegal for over 10 years now? And they have just now decided to do something about it? That makes no sense to me at all.

I agree. Its taken 10 years to bring them to court. and Just how do you stop people from finding gambling sites and promotion on the computor when every one all over the world has one.. isn't that unfair to other countries.. what next are they going to band the US people from getting on other countries sites..
