Looks like the place to put this....I had wrote mine before elections , and he finally replied...
Dear Mr.Moore:
Thank you for contacting me regarding legislation strengthening enforcement of laws prohiiting internet gambling. I appreciate hearing from you and having the benefit of your views.
As you may know, the final version of H.R. 954, the Security and Accountability for Every (SAFE) Port Act, which was signed into law on October 13, 2006, included legislation further prohibiting on-line gambling, which is already illegal here in the United States. Unfortunately, illegal online gambling operations had sprouted up overseas, targeting American families and children and directly violating U.S. laws which were written before the Internet was commonplace. With the passage of the SAFE Port ACt, the law enforcement now has the tools needed to prosecute these off shore operations and credit card companies now have the ability to prevent illegal gambling transactions and ensure that U.S. law is observed.
While we may disagree on this particular piece of legislation, please do not hesitate to contact. I look foward to representing you in Congress.
Sincerely,
Henry E. Brown Jr.
Member of Congress
