Reasons for Playing

Do you play to improve your skills or to win money? I want to play to get better. I'm really trying out different books and forums.

I dont play poker, Bobby. But I have some friends that do and I know that they really enjoy it.

What is your favorite poker game? Texas Hold Em? Or do you have another favorite?

Well I pesonally play to better myself so that I can win money.. Reading as many books as you can is great but also playing friendly games with family and friends gives you great experience. And playing with the same people all the time you can really tune into the tells. so pay close attention and don't look at your cards until its your turn to act.. so that you can observe there actions.. best of luck...

I've been playing poker for about 30 years now, The money is a big part of it but I also like the challenge. You always learn in everything you do, if you stop learning then you stop growing and prospering.

The challenge , commodore and the money . It all comes hand in hand . Though I don't play nearly as much as I used to , I still enjoy the weekly game with friends be it online or live .

I would have to say I play poker on a regualr basis, but since I have become a pit manager at a casino I feel that all the play online has made me better at not only poker but in genral reading people. So use poker a tool for life.

Those are some nice responses and a lot to take in. My favorite game is Texas Hold Em, jacks to play, and trips to win.

I have played jacks or better or trips to win but my favorite is also Texas Holdem..

I to love playing poker with friends and family. When I first started to play I had to carry a cheat sheet as to what beat what. my friends laughed at me.
But now that I have been playing for a while I don’t need the cheat sheet any more.
I love the challenge of out playing and out witting my opponents.
Texas Holden is my favorite.
