A little about the book from Joe Torre - he says some of what's being said about is has been taken out of context.

"A little information comes out and you've got to deal with five pages or whatever it was in a 500-page book. I'm sort of used to it. You don't like people to get the wrong idea, and I certainly feel good about the way the book turned out."

Said Torre.

In the book, which was co-authored by Tom Verducci of Sports Illustrated, some of A-Rod's teammates called him "A-Fraud." Torre says that they haven't spoken since he (Torre) turned down a contract with the Yankees after the 2007 season.

I've had best wishes through people, I've texted him on occasion, but I haven't talked to Alex since I left. I don't think there's anything in this book that's going to make Alex angry.

I watched and Torre was nothing but sincere, and said everything in the book he goes by, and he feels he said nothing that would upset players past or future. I still can't wait to read this, it will be a good eye opener i think.
