Vikings Left With Plan B and C

Welp, the decision is FINALLY in, no Brett Favre for the Minnesota Vikings. I guess that guy they showed on ESPN who bought a brand new Vikings jersey with Favre on the back is just s.o.l.! He is out of a few bucks for sure.

The question is, what does this mean for the Vikings? I think they thought they had Brett Favre in the bag and so they didn't do much of anything to tighten up the quarterback position. Now they are left to decide on plan A or plan B.

That would be Sage Rosenfels or Tarvaris Jackson to be the number one quarterback for the team.

ESPN.com

Rosenfels still seems uncomfortable with the offense and Jackson is dealing with a sprained knee. Training camp isn't starting the way they would like I am sure.

I am really suprised that they haven't at least made an attempt to get someone else for that position. I haven't even heard any rumours about Michael Vick being looked at by the Vikings and I thought that would happen.

You never know though, one of the two they have to choose from may be the next big thing. You just know until game time.

Viking just have to make a wholesale commitment to someone. Stand behind Tarvaris Jackson and take your lumps with a QB that is still learning the game or go find someone to win now with (not a Sage Rosenfels).

I would hate for them to turn into the 80's Detroit Lions and have a great runner in Peterson and never win it all (like Barry Sanders)
