Fire and Ice Review "Great New Casino"

Fire and Ice Casino

A review.

Oddson software has revamped its look and feel, and its latest arrival on the online market is Fire and Ice casino, an already accredited casino in many respected listings on the Internet - and now on the fastest growing online gaming watchdog site on the Web: our own Online Players Union.

Offering fair play on a good selection of casino games, which are most of the classics with some quite innovative - if not unique - game variations; playing at Fire and Ice casino is an exciting experience. Great graphics combined with an intuitive interface, this casino is bound to attract the most demanding players.

Customer service.

I’ve called Fire and Ice at their North American toll-free number several times and on every occasion I’ve had the pleasure of being treated with courtesy, and none of my queries went unanswered, be it general questions or game details: they are well trained and knowledgeable. They can be reached at the following:

1-800-572-6448 within North America, 1-268-481-1385 internationally; their email is: support@fireandicecasino.com.

The games menu.

Slots.

The Slots offer 3 to 7 reel games, the set jackpot types as well as the progressives ones. Coin sizes vary from 1 cent to 10 dollars and the ‘pay lines’ are from one to 21. Set jackpots vary from a mere 135 coins for Quick Draw up to a booming 10,000 coins for Million Dollar Rally. As far as the progressive jackpots go, during my session the lowest was at just over $17,000 for Win Place or show, and the biggest was near $188,500 for Treasure Trail.

In the slots selection there is the advanced option to Auto-Play on most games. You can set the speed in between spins, select the number of spins and you can also set a ‘stop point’: you do so by choosing your win amount or loss amount at which you want the Auto-Play to stop. The Auto-Play and its options is almost the same as for MG casinos, and will surely be familiar for slots players experienced at playing the Viper software.

Specialty games.

The ‘specialty’ games include Keno, Poker Slots, Bingo Bucks and Dazzling Dice. Everybody knows Keno but the latter 3 games have an innovative twist to them. All 3 are similar in many ways. For example let’s take Poker Slots.

Poker Slots has the appearance and feel of a table card game. Play begins by choosing a coin value from 25 cents to $5 and selecting the number of pay lines preferred. You are then dealt 5 hands of 5 cards each, each one lined up above the other, creating the ‘grid’ if you wish. If you select the maximum 12 pay lines you then have 5 horizontal hands, 5 vertical hands and 2 diagonal ones in which you can win according to the pay table. It takes 2 pairs to have a winning hand. A 2-Pair hand pays 5:1 and the biggest win on a line is a Straight Flush at 1000:1.

It’s common to get multiple paying lines. Bingo Bucks and Dazzling Dice use the same principle, except that Bingo Bucks uses symbols and the 5 letters in the word BINGO, and that Dazzling Dice uses dice faces that represent 6 card values from 9 to Ace to make winning lines hands.

I know that those games may sound complicated - probably as much than it is for me to explain them, but once you give them a try they are quite simple and fun, and they’re actually a ‘breath of fresh air’ if you wish, in that they absolutely break the routine of the conventional games. Give it a shot and see for yourselves.

Video Pokers.

If you’re a Video Poker player Fire and Ice has got your game: full pay Jacks or Better to Deuces Wild and everything in between… single play to 100 hands Multi-Play. Plays are from 1 cent to a $60 Max Bet. The Auto-Hold feature will prevent you from inadvertently discarding your best odd cards… only the feature, as I’ve noticed, won’t make some of the closer decisions such as holding a low pair rather than holding 3-to-a-Flush.

Roulette.

The only version is the European Single-Zero type, which is good news. If you like to play roulette for High Stakes this game’s for you. The minimum bet is $1 and the maximum Outside Bet (Even/Odds, Black/Red and Thirds) is set at $99 and the maximum Table Aggregate Bet is set at $14,655 - High Stakes anyone?

Table games.

Most of the classic games are there: Blackjack (one to 5 hands), Let Them Ride, Tri-Card Poker, War, Red Dog and Craps with which most of you players are familiar with. One new item to play online, or anywhere (for me anyways) was Poker Dice.

Poker Dice uses the same dice as the ‘specialty game’ Dazzling Dice, and again instead of pips the six faces of a die are a 9, a 10, a J, a Q, a K and an Ace. There are five dice to roll after you make a wager from $1 to $250. There are no side bets and wins are according to a Pay Table. A Two-Pair hand pays 1:1 and anything lower loses. The top hand is a 5OAK (five-of-a-kind) and pays 20:1. Hmm... to be honest I wondered about the House Edge on that one, but I did play 20-25 hands at minimum bet and ended up right where I had begun balance-wise, and that was flat-betting so all’s well that ends well (or even, sometimes).

What’s also different is that the Progressive Blackjack, where a $1 Side Bet pays you according to the Pay Table - but should you be dealt 4 suited aces you'd win the whole Jackpot (last seen standing at $35,000+!) Also there’s Progressive Island Stud Poker (Fire and Ice’s version of the Caribbean Stud Poker classic), with a $1 Side Bet as well… hitting a Royal Flush here bags the Jackpot (worth $73,000+ at my last visit), and guess what: I won it! Yeah, I know: dream on…!

Playing their new game variations is a must - I’d say at least give them a try in Fun Mode and enjoy something a little different - or just stick to the classics or the games that you’re familiar with, or usually do better at than others.

If you download, make certain that our OPU Insurance covers you by using our on-site banner or one of our links to this casino.

Whichever way… play safely and win, or bust (without "busting") trying, and happy gaming!

Regards,

Thatchatch

The match Bonus

Thanks Ditch.

This casino has quite a few new twists on some games; and it’s a brand new experience with some.

For the players that prefer playing the basics, most of the staple classic games are there as well.

For the players who enjoy playing with a bonus, there’s also a $50 match bonus for a $50 deposit.

The bonus wagering requirement for that 100% match is a 18X playthrough, and if you do take that match bonus be advised that some games are disqualified for meeting the bonus requirements, not unlike most casinos.

So, bonus takers, make certain that you read the terms on their site. They're detailed simply, clear and without any 'traps' of any sort in my honest opinion, but just make sure that you've got those rules down pat for your own selves before starting playthrough action, just like you'd do at any other casino with bonus clauses.

And happy gaming!

Regards,

Fire and Ice Casino

I also like the idea that they have little ongoing bonuses. I found a $5 bonus in my account the other day and played on it for hours.
