Sport's Betting At The Top Of Deleware's List
As each state in the United States faces their waivering flow of revenues due to the slow economy, they are looking for ways to ramp up the flow of funds. Deleware is no exception.
A new General Assembly is set to meet in January and legalized sports wagering is on the top of Deleware's list of things to get done.
Neighboring Maryland just approved slot machines to be used in their state and Pennsylvania already has gaming in place so Deleware needs to do whatever they can to stay competitive.
Sport's Betting was a top priority for discussion for the state Video Lottery Advisory Council, an industry trade group on Tuesday. They feel this will be a great way to breathe new life into revenues and will be a great advantage for the state.
With all of the slot machine competition coming from Maryland and Pennsylvania and the table games in West Virginia official in Deleware need to find some way to stay afloat. Since Sport's gaming is no where to be found east of the Missippi River, they feel that reviving it in Deleware will do the just the trick.
