How to play.

Spades is played with a standard deck of cards. You use all of them the value of the cards starts from the two all the way to the Ace. Which of course has the highest value.

You play with four people each being dealt thirteen cards. Each player picks up their cards and sorts them by suit. Arranging them from lowest to highest card.

You then bid on how many suits or books you can take. This is each hand won which will consist of four cards one from each player. You decide by looking at how many high cards you have and how many spades you possess.

Each player then lays down a card. You never start a game off with a spade. If a heart is thrown then you will throw a heart if you don't have one then you would throw a spade.

The player who threw the highest card then wins the hand. Spades lain on an off suit like this of course wins that hand. Play continues until all cards are played the player with the most books wins.

Re: How to play.

I was once practically addicted to playing spades on pogo, played it every day.

It is a really fun game, and it rightfully is categorized as skill game, you can improve your skills.
