War... Not just for kids

I used to play War with my sisters and friends when I was a kid. I never once would have thought that this was a game that you could find at casinos.

I mean I always thought that it was just a kids game, that kept everyone out of the parents hair as well as out of other trouble that kids normally get into,LOL.

About a week ago though my sweetie broke out the cards and decided that we needed to play War. We started talking about the game and how he played it when he went to Las Vegas for vacation.

That really surprised me. He said that it is played just like everyone plays at home, but there is betting and of course the bet increases when War occurs.

This is one game that I might be able to actually play if I ever go to Las Vegas. At least it is one game that I will honestly know what I am doing other than the betting part. Though that I am sure I can easily pick up on by watching it played for a few.

I have never looked at our local casinos to see if War is also a table game which they have. I will have to look next time we go out for some gambling fun. I normally end up playing Blackjack or slots. Though if they have War, I may have a new favorite game to play,LOL.
