Pennsylvania Casino Fined

The Meadows Racetrack and Casino operators, Washington Trotting Association, Inc., have been fined $10,000 by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for two incidents.

The first incident was a fine in the amount of $5,000 for allowing an underage person to gamble in the casino and the other was a $5,000 fine for allowing an individual on the statewide Self-Exclusion List to obtain a player's club card.

The first incident involved an 18 year old who was able to wager on slot machines for about forty-five minutes.

The second involved an individual who was supposed to be banned but was allowed to gamble and was given a players card and was not found out until he/she tried to cash a check.

Re: Pennsylvania Casino Fined

Only $5000? The Pennsylvania gaming board should be ashamed of themselves. $5000 to a casino is like 5 cents to any normal person; and is hardly a deterrent for them to beef up their screening process to stop underage gamblers from playing at their casino.

Hopefully there are stronger fines and/or sanctions in place for casinos that repeatedly allow underage gamblers to stay and/or play in the casino that's been fined in the past.

Re: Pennsylvania Casino Fined

I think 5000$ is not enough! I thought those fines are heavier!? What is 5000 for a casino?!! It's not serious!
