Hard Rock Hotel Exec Shot Dead

This is aweful news.

The top executive of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Randy Kwasniewski was found dead in his Summerlin home yesterday morning. Apparently he died of a gunshot wound. He was just 55 years old.

He had been in his current position of Hard Rock Hotel President and Chief Operating Officer since Morgans Hotel Group bought the resort in February 2007.

"He was not just one of my colleagues and a leader of our company," Kleisner's statement said. "He was my friend. I know few hotel and casino executives who have the knowledge, focus and work ethic that Randy possessed. I will miss him. All of us at Morgans are deeply saddened by the passing of Randy. I know I speak for everyone when I say we all mourn his loss. Randy was a dedicated husband and father, a friend to many of us and a valued colleague. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family."

I haven't been able to find anything detailed about this as of yet. My heart goes out to the family.

This is such a tragic story,I saw it in the news and was just taken by it.I see some good things in the news but it is mostly bad.Trageties like this one happens way to much in this world.I can't wait to hear what exactly happened.

What did he do to someone to make them want to do this to him.Was he mixed up in something illegal?Was he cheating on his significant other?There is a reason why this happened and I would like to know.

My heart and prayers go out to the family that he has left behind,and I really hope they find out why he was taken from them so abruptly.

This is horrible news. I hope that they quickly get to the botten of this and who ever has done this end up behind bars for the rest of their lives.

I just can never understand how someone could take the life of someone else. Whether they know the person or not it doesnt matter a human life is to precious and for someone to just come along and take that away is just unbelieveably tragic.

Well I just read that the coroner has ruled his death a suicide by a single shotgun wound to the head.

He was married and had two children.

Morgans Chief Executive Officer Fred Kleisner will oversee operations at the Hard Rock Hotel for the time being, the company said.

Oh that is just so sad.

I have no idea how old the children are or if any of them (the kids or wife) were at home during the time that he took his life.

I just feel so bad for the family. What a terrible thing to go through.

It is sad to hear anything like this. A death is bad enough as it is but when it is self inflicked it makes it so much worse on the families.
