Computer Experts Involved in Casino Scam

Wow, check this one out.

I guess two guys were found to be involved in a pretty major casino scam in London.

The two men are both computer experts and with some sort of inside help they were able to hack into software that was controlling remote betting machines on live roulette wheels. They were able to make the wheels spit out winning betting slips no matter what the actual results on the wheel were.

The guys were able to steal about $70,000 by doing this.

They had their day in court and were given 12 month jail sentences suspended for two years and they each have to pay back $30,000.

If ya ask me, they got off easy for they did!

This just goes to show how low our justice system has gotten. Any other time in the past they would have gotten no less than 10 years hard labor.

Now you can see why there is so much crime. Do something and get a slap on the wrist and you are out to do it again.

Re: Computer Experts Involved in Casino Scam

That's a pretty light sentence if you ask me. They'll just go find someway to do it again. Heck they'll probably find a way to just to pay back the $30,000 they each owe.

ClassyTouch you said it, the justice systems are handing out slap on the wrist when back in the day they're sentence would've been much harsher.

Re: Computer Experts Involved in Casino Scam

This isn't the first time that this kind of thing has happened.I watch the history and discovery channell alot and I saw on there where some computer whizzes broke into a casino's security system and rigged it to get themselves over five hundred thousean dollars. As I recall they were like a bunch of college kids to.

As many viruses and stuff that go around the web so much, you would think that this stuff would happen more often than it does.

These guys got of real easy if you ask me,hell they let murdering rapist out after just eleven years, why would a thief get any worse than that.I sure don't know what has happened to our judicial system lately.
