I wasnt one who got into watching horse races or any kind of races. This was until I started watching a show that was all about Jockey's. This show really got me intrested in the sport.
It is amazing how much work that these Jockey's and of course the horses have to go through to make it on to the tracks.
It really takes alot of dedication and hard work. According to the show I watched (I cant remember the name of it), when they talk about falling off of a horse its not "IF" it happens its always "WHEN".
I think that right there would make me turn around and walk away from that sport, but there are alot of people to love to ride in these races and are willing to risk alot of injuries as well as death for the chance.
Here is a video I found of a race in which three jockey's end up hitting the ground during a race. This is a danger that all jockey's face in any race or at any given time.
I love to watch the horse races now but I hate to see riders hitting the ground, its never a good thing.
