Bernice finds proably one of a kind card
Bernice Gallego is proably one of the luckiest ladies there are right now. This is all due to some stuff she picked up at an estate sale.
Now keep in mind that Bernice Gallego is not a collector of baseball cards though she very well might become one.
You see while sorting through the items which were purchased from an estate sale, she found a rectangular card which was just slightly messed up. Though still in awesome condition. Along with this card she also found a photograph of ten young men standing in uniforms.
Keep in mind that Bernice has never been to a baseball game whether it was magor league down to little league. The only baseball player she knows of is Willie Mays and this was only due to her Mother listening to the radio back in 1958.
The card which Bernice had found said Red Stocking B. B. Club of Cincinnati. Still not knowing what it is she had really found Bernice placed this card on Ebay for a whopping $10.00. Though when people started doing just about all they could to get their hands on the card, Bernice removed the card from the sale and began to look into it to see what the big deal was about.
After some research, Bernice was shocked to discover that she was proably holding the oldest card in baseball history. The Red Stockings were the very first baseball team on this entire continent who were professionals.
The card which Bernice found was actually an advertisemnt for a company called Peck & Snyder which was a New York manufacturer of sports equipment as well as firefighting equipment.
Just goes to show that when you purchase something from yard sales to estate auctions, you may just find out that you have purchased something that no one thought to be around anymore.
Happy shopping everyone!!!
