Poker for Charity

The game of poker is loved by so many that it is the perfect way to raise money for just about anything including charities.

Just recently there was a poker tournament to help raise money for the Prevention of breast cancer and early detection. This poker tournament managed to raise more than $3,000 for the research, prevention and early detection of cancer.

Almost 200 players took on this challenge. Because of such a wonderful turn out this is hopefully going to become an annual event as long as the number of people attending remains in higher numbers. Which for the game of poker and a worth while cause I am sure that it will.

Poker is one of the most often played games in the world, so why not use it to help raise money. Its a perfect match.

I know that personally I love playing poker and there is nothing like playing a game that you love, possibly win some money and of course join a cause to help thousands of people who are effected with this illiness.

I also like poker! Poker for charity...The idea is just great! Hope it will get spreading as the number of fields that need to be sponsored is enormous!!!

I agree there are alot of charities that are in need of sponsorship, and poker is just one of the many games that are loved and used to help get the needed money.

The idea of using poker to help raise money for various things is something that is never going to end. Not unless by some miracle there are no more illiness's, homeless, those with out food and so on!

Til then I guess we can all have alot of fun playing a game that we love to play all the while helping out in a good cause!
