Online Poker Glitch: BetFair Demands Money Back From Players

Nearly two dozen online poker players this week brought a whole new meaning to the term "cheating in online poker" while playing at Europe's BetFair site.

The online poker website operated by BetFair.com is demanding that users pay back winnings that were a result of a software glitch.

Glich

Yes you are right there will be some that do return the money and they should be commended for their honesty and then you will have the ones that will say sorry about your luck and keep the money but i have to wonder if the sports betting place did not for see this problem to begin with they had to see something was wrong and stop all bets in the begining of the problem

Online Poker Glitc: Betfaif Demands Money Back Form Players

That would be a hard call to make If you play on a site and win how is one to know that there was a problem I have to agree with beangle 40 they should have discovered the problem its not the players responsibility to track glitches so I would have to say I am an honest person but I to would want to keep the money. Can they really demand people to pay the money back?

Situations like this will show the true character of the players.....It would be tempting for a lot of people to withdraw the money and run , but it would go against my morals . Heck , I had a site that made just a small 20.00 mistake and I had told them about it . They appreciated my honesty and rewarded me well for it . :-)

These folk knew that they were taking advantage of a bad mistake , and that's just wrong . For more read Everyone's a Winner at Betfair Poker... Or are They? | Poker News

You are right SkinskiI I am an honest person as well even though I would love to keep the money but my morals to would keep me form doing so. I went to a bank to cash a check and she gave me 200.00 dollars to much when I tried to address it with her she said that they do not make mistakes and refused to take the money back. I gave her my name and phone number and told her when she balanced out that she would be giving me a call and she did she was short $200. Dollars I returned the money and it was greatly appreciated.
