Small pairs and suited connectors
This is the strategy I use when playing small pairs and suited connectors in limit hold 'em. It is all based on pot odds. I like to play these hands from late position in an unraised pot. There must be at least four people in the pot to give me the correct odds to call. If the pot is raised, there must be at least four callers.
The odds of hitting a big hand are slim. So I try to play big pots for cheap with them. The big pots I win with these hands make up for all the times I lose with them. It seems to work for me.
So when deciding whether to play these weak hands, I first look at how much money is in the pot. I feel this is most important.
Does anyone have any different ideas on how to play these hands in limit hold em?
