Hosting your Own Poker Night

First check your local laws. You can do this at Gambling-law-US.com
second Get your group of family and friends together
Decide on who is bringing tables and chairs
Who is bringing chips and cards
What are your blinds and the level the blinds will go up
What is your pay out going to be{This is where the laws in your area come in please check the laws in your area to see if you a legally allowed to have a pay out. If not playing for fun can be just as exciting and gives you skills for that trip to Vegas }and how many players are you paying
are you going to move players during the game or take the final 2 or final 3 players of each table and combine them for the final table
are you going to have each person take turns shuffling or are you using card shufflers.. They have them at walmart..
Okay shuffle up and deal
Have fun.
You will I'm sure have little bugs to work out but the more you host a home game the better you will become at it.

If any one else has ever hosted your Own Poker night please add your input I may not have covered everything or maybe you do it different. I would like to hear from you.. Maybe I'll Change the way I host my game.

Yes, do be sure to check your local laws on hosting a poker game. We sure wouldnt want anyone to get into any kind of trouble.

Again this depends on the Gambling Laws in your area. Playing for fun can be just as exciting and give you stratigies on your next trip to Vegas or a Land Based Casino near you.

Hey we could just play with potato chips. We used to play with pennies when I was younger. That way you always had enough to stay in the game.

Once you have all the particulars set, IE....buy in, how many get paid ect. Sell the alloted chips for your buy in and DO NOT have the money on the table. this makes your table look like a fun game. Also dont invite anyone you dont know personally, robbery's happen at these home games. We usually have a buy in for 1500 in chips, the money is then put in a hiding place only known to the host.
