ECW Returning Full-Time This September

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has made the decision to bring back ECW FULL-TIME.
The plan is to have the promotion return on a full-time basis in September. WWE officials have begun talking to former talent about returning to work for the promotion.

There has been no decision on how the company will be brought back just yet. It's possible that it will take over the present OVW territory, that it will be a promotion that gets matches on the Raw and/or Smackdown promotions or possibly in some other manner.

Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer will be booking ECW when it starts up.

WWE is offering talent three year deals which consist of a series of one year contracts with rollover clauses. The Sandman, Francine and Balls Mahoney are all being sent contreacts this week.

I was flipping through the channels and saw Joey Styles "quitting" in what looked like a shoot promo. First of all.. i had no f'n clue that Joey Styles was even an announcer in the WWE. Secondly, i think this reaffirms ECW coming back.. that's pretty cool. Too bad it's over 5 years too late. I'm certain the WWE has lost fans (like myself) by sitting on their hands with this product.

Try as they may, ECW in the hands of Vince McMahon will never be as extreme as ECW was in the glory days. Vince has too much money and has ruined the wrestling business by buying out all the competition.

Oh for sure.. i can see it sucking hard. The only thing that might save it is some new blood coming in and bringing the house down.
