Playing spades

Playing spades is a game I really enjoy. While I was in Florida for 2 weeks, we played spades every night.

Spades is a really easy game to learn and score keeping is likewise easy to learn to do.

I think that once you have learned how to play spades, that euchre and pinochle would be much easier to learn. At least I found this to be true.

I enjoy playing all of the games listed above but remember it is just a game, theres nothing worse than sitting down to play one of the above games with someone that gripes and complains through the whole game so pick your fellow players wisely.

Bartongrl1, it sounds like you may have had issues with complaining players in the past. I know how that can be.

I haven't played spades for a couple years or so now. The last time I played spades was when I had a pogo account...

Then facebook came into my life and I found its free online games were quite intriguing at the time, so I cancelled pogo.

I don't see myself playing spades, or any of the other games mentioned above, in the foreseeable future.

I like playing cards occassionally. You get to talk to real people for a change and it can be a fun relaxing way to spend an evening. Plus the snacks of course. lol

You do have a point about partaking in the 'snacks' department while playing your card games.

But I'm thinking along the lines of, 'it's beer-30 somewhere', so drink-up and have fun playing cards.

Its just snacks for me. If I drank a beer I would be asleep at the table and that wouldn't be a good thing. You cant win if you are sleeping. Rofl.
