Re: The NFL Today - 2013-2014

Wow. Five NFL games have been played this year for nearly all the professional football teams.

Where does time go?

Tonight, you can watch the New York Jets (2-2) play at the Georgia Dome against the Atlanta Falcons (1-3); at 8:40pm on ESPN (NFL RedZone).

The NFL match-up shows the Falcons have a slight advantage over the Jets in total yards per game.

I'll be rooting for the Falcons (of course), but it may be a close game.

I give the Falcons at least 3 points (a maximum of 10 points) to win the footaball game tonight against the Jets.

Re: The NFL Today - 2013-2014

I would have gone with the Jets. Let me know who wins this one.

And thanks so much for posting the games for tonite. I know a lot of people love their football games. I dont watch sports so I am always clueless as to who is playing but would like to know who wins this one.

Re: The NFL Today - 2013-2014

Ha ha! Ok, as I've said in the past, just go for the opposite team when I pick a football team to win. Because it happened again; Atlanta lost to the Jets.

The Atlanta Falcons lost to the New York Jets last night, with the final score 30 to 28.

I bet it was a close football game near the end. They usually are when the final score is so close like that.

I was right. I checked the replay on the game and the Jets got it down within field goal range in the last few seconds, and kicked a field goal to win it.

And, I have to mention, my point spread wasn't too far off if you go for the opposite team that I had picked.

Re: The NFL Today - 2013-2014

Ha! The Carlina Panthers won a game, and it was against the Vikings (surprisingly enough). Final score was 35 to 10 (a blowout).
The Panthers are now 2-n-3 (2 wins, 3 losses).

And the Packers won another one as well, against the Baltimore Ravens.
The score on that game was 19 to 17.
Another close game; Packers need to step-up their game. They are now 3-n-2.

Tonight's game will be the Colts (4-1) against the Chargers (2-3) (both AFC teams).

I think my prediction will be a no-brainer on the outcome of this football game; Colts will win by at least 14 points (that may mean the Chargers will win by 3).

You can watch tonight's game at 8:40pm on ESPN.

Re: The NFL Today - 2013-2014

The Steelers won 19 to 6 against the Jets. (Go Steelers!)

Oh, and the Colts lost to the Chargers. Final score was Chargers 19, Colts 9.

So, there we go again. The Colts actually lost by '9', not by 3 like I had mentioned for my reverse prediction score.

I think I will go with reversing my predictions to see what happens (then again, I may still be wrong).

Re: The NFL Today - 2013-2014

The Steelers lost to the Panthers, 15 to 30. That's got to hurt.
It looks like the Panthers are trying to make their mark again this year.

The Packers won another football game. This time it was against the Browns. Final score 31 to 13. Go Pack Go!

Tonight's game on Monday Night Football, will be the Vikings (1/4) at the Giants (0/6). Both teams are from the NFC, and it may be another close game.

You can watch the Monday Night Football game on ESPN, at 8:40pm tonight.

My prediction on this game; the Giants win by 3 points over the Vikings.
(Ok, I really want the Vikings to win by 10. I guess I can't lose by making two predictions. We shall see.)

Re: The NFL Today - 2013-2014

Wow! My first prediction was closest to the final football game score between the Giants and Vikings.

Giants won last night's football game, 23 to 7!

The Vikings made their first and only touchdown in the first quarter. After that, it was the Giants game...
The Giants made 3 points in the first quarter, 7 points in the 2nd, 7 points in the 3rd, and 6 points in the fourth (guess they missed the field goal for the extra point).

Any-who, the first quarterback for the Vikings overthrew the football, and the second quarterback got sacked a lot. Their quarterback's need to step up their game.

Re: The NFL Today - 2013-2014

Thanksgiving Day upset in football...

The three football games during Thanksgiving Day were, in my thoughts, an upset.

The three teams I would have thought would win, did not:
The Packers vs the Lions, 10 to 40; Lions won.
The Raiders vs the Cowboys, 24 to 31; Cowboys won.
The Steelers vs the Ravens, 20 to 22; the Ravens won.

All football games turned out to be the opposite outcome of what I had thought they would.

Oh well, there's always Sunday and Monday night football to look forward to.
