Fewer bingo halls than ever.

I was thinking about going to bingo the other night only to find out that yet another bingo hall in our area has shut down and I am not about to drive 30 miles one way just to play a night of bingo.

One advantage to the DOJs recent decision is that we will now be able to play bingo online again without having to leave our homes in search of a bingo hall to play at.

I would rather play at home anyway, mostly because I wont have to fight traffic or the weather to go play a game I love.

I thought I would move are talk about bingo halls to this thread, since it's about bingo (I should have done that with my last few responses).

Not sure about going tonite. Right now Im thinking of hitting the local casino. Its only 10.2 miles from here. Sometimes thats a little too close. Lol

I think there are like 16 cards on a big bingo sheet.
And I remember when my wife and I were at the bingo hall in Cherokee, NC.
She bought four sheets just to show me she could do it (with one of those side games).

That was when I was sitting back and amazed she could do it.
I think she may have missed one or two during that round (which she found after it was over; but still no bingo

I wouldnt even attempt to play that many cards. It would end up being a losing battle for me and I would never know if I had a bingo or not.

I did go to the casino with my daughter Lisa but we didnt do any good. Won a tiny bit but nothing significant although it was a great time and a nice way to spend some quality time with my daughter.

Next time though, I think we will try the zoo. Roflmao.

It's good that you got to spend time with your daughter, and that's what counts. Whether or not you spend it playing bingo together.

Back to the bingo thing for me; I remember playing one card and it didn't seem all that hard. So I tried two sheets on my first side game; boy was I surprised (that's the part where I said my wife would help me after she finished with her own two sheets).

Needless to say, I didn't play any more side bingo games with two sheets, until I got better at finding the numbers.
I guess I will have to look for a thread about zoos next?

I love playing bingo and do just fine with 3 big cards for the usual games and can do several for the special so Im good to go in that respect.

I dont win very often at bingo itself, its usually the side tickets etc that I do the winning on. But its a fun night out and thats most of the reason I do bingo to begin with.

There are lots of very nice people where we go to bingo at and it makes for a very enjoyable evening.

And now that you mention the other bingo-ers, you can make new friends and chit-chat inbetween bingo time. I think my wife liked that the most...

She loves talking about her children, our escapades in life and other stuff to the women she's talked to.

Me, I like the refreshments and on occasion a sandwich or a hotdog or two, and of course the relaxing part that goes with bingo.

Well, this bingo hall is one of the friendliest I have ever been to. Everyone there is just so nice.

And I know what you mean about the good conversation and better yet all the different snacks you can buy while you are there.

My Claire is a very social animal and spends most of her time talking to everyone she sees. lol

I'm usually into bingo just for a change and to see how fast I can find the numbers, and it keeps the wife busy.

Claire is my youngest daughter and is a people person. Likes to talk and talks to everyone, whether she knows them or not.

I like going to landbased bingo but dont get there very often any more. But I think in the next couple of weeks I will go to Claires house then we can go to bingo at a big town on past her home. That way, I can spend the night at Claires house and wont have to worry about driving home after dark.
