Beginning on Friday, I will be previewing all 32 NFL Teams, beginning with the San Francisco 49ers.

we need 32 stringers who live in each NFL city to give training camp reports! im going to chargers camp every weekend.they report officialy friday but everyones reported already.,the season could be exciting if we all contribute.i will be here with charger news and thoughts to help the forum. baseball has put me in a coma and football rocks! i cant wait!

I heard Gates didn't show up today for camp. You got any info??

btw, I've seen some of the stuff you posted at mvpsports101, you're doing a hellelva job over there

LOL.thanks ego. i pay for that info and chris mortensen gets alot of his stuff from the same source.lol. he parlayed that into a sweet gig eh? gates is pissed. under qualified bolts GM aj smith gave keenen McCardell huge money and he did nothing last year. gates scored 13 times and for that hes offered $300k. hes demanding more and he deserves that.let me go do some digging and if i find something i didnt post here i will add to this. ~ROXY

SAN DIEGO ---- Chargers Pro Bowl tight end Antonio Gates has not yet signed his contract for the 2005 season, according to a team official, and cannot report to camp until he does so.

Classified as an exclusive-rights free agent, the team tendered Gates a contract offer worth $380,000. Both parties had hoped to agree on a multiyear pact as the club had done with wide receiver Keenan McCardell and linebacker Steve Foley.

Chargers general manager A.J. Smith did not return phone messages left at his office, and coach Marty Schottenheimer denied any knowledge of Gates' contract status.

"My understanding is he'll be here for the start of camp (today)," he said.

In 2004, Gates caught 81 passes for 964 yards and set an NFL single-season record for touchdown receptions by a tight end with 13. His breakthrough as one of the game's top players came just one year after he signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State, where he had been a basketball player.

Even without a contract, Gates has been a regular at voluntary and mandatory offseason workouts.

Ross signs

The Chargers added rookie running back Lydell Ross to their roster a day after the team released running back Jesse Chatman. Ross, a 6-foot-0, 225-pounder, was the leading rusher at Ohio State the past two seasons.

WOW, thanks for the info, Roxy. I hadn't done much digging on the situation, since I just picked it up on the wires. But I figured you knew something since that's your team.

I would say we should run off and start our own website, but don't wanna get no "agenda' rumors going, LOL

agendas suck.lol.im going to be at the afternoon workouts sat/sun beginning this weekend.i will give you updates in your ego news section. i dont know half of what im looking at alot cuz i mostly go to watch the cute guys.lol.but if anyone stands out on the field i will definitly let you know.
