Backgammon Video

I never understood how to play Backgammon before. The board always just looked to confusing to me. This was because I personally never gave the game a chance. Today I decided to look into the game a bit and see if I could maybe learn to understand it a little bit better.

I came across this video on Utube, and it did help me to understand the game a bit more. I always like to learn new games, its more fun than just playing the same games over and over all of the time.

I prefer to learn as much about a game prior to just jumping in and trying to play that way. I have done this a few times and always end up feeling like a goober because I havent a clue what I am supposed to do,LOL.

Now all I need to do is find someone willing to play the game with me, LOL.

Re: Backgammon Video

That was a nice video. It does add to my understanding of the game. I did not know however that there was a World Series of Backgammon.

I will now be looking it up to see where it is held and who can play. I would be interested in the tournament rules and event times. I also have to wonder if it is a televised event?

Re: Backgammon Video

I am glad that you found the video to be a little bit helpful in your understanding the game better.

Even though Backgammon is a loved game, I personally have never seen a tournament televised before. Though I must agree, it would be intresting to watch.

I myself am still learning about the game, it seems to take me forever because I never seem to have enough time to really sit down to really try it.

If I do hear of Backgammon on tv I will be sure to let you know. I will be looking for it.

Til then I also found this information reguarding the game, and thought that you may also find it as useful as the video. I figure the more knowledge you can get about a game, the better off you will be when playing.
