What Do You Think

We have all heard that the poor state of the economy has been the reason that we have seen so many bingo halls have closed down.

Though now that the economy is beginning to show signs of improvement, do you believe that landbased bingo halls will again start to reopen, or do you think that they are a thing of the past?

There used to be six bingo halls that were fairly close to where I live now there are only two and one that has yet to finish remodeling before opening.

I thought since we had one in the area that was just getting ready to open up, we my start seeing others reopening their doors.

I would hate to see the landbased bingo halls becomming a thing of the past. These bingo games are a great way to get out of the house for alot of fun playing a game that so many love. Not to mention the chance of leaving with a few extra dollars in your pocket.

I hear some people saying that they are going to soon be a thing of the past while at the same time there are alot of people saying that as soon as the economy straightens up bingo halls will again open back up.

What is your opinion on all of this?

I think they will be reopening and not only that but more will open once the economy is back to so called "Normal" if there is a normal..LOL Not only land based but a lot more online sites once the UIGEA is thrown out.

There is a purposal going on now to go before congress that to regulate online gambling would bring in revenue to help gund the health care reform. Looks like online gambling is becoming more and more forward.

I don't know. I think with so many halls having closed, more people have turned to online bingo and I don't think many of them will turn back, especially smokers.

I don't look for too mnay halls to reopen in my area. Even in the best of times the economy stinks around here so thats already one thing against them reopening.
