Kentucky ban affecting Ohioans?

I live in Southeastern Ohio, there are no restrictions here about logging onto any of the online casinos, or for that matter, playing at them.

Well, big surprise this morning, I clicked on the link for Crazy Slots, which is a Vegas technologies powered slot and open to players in the US, and I got this message.

SORRY THIS SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR KENTUCKY RESIDENTS

It seems to me that Kentucky has infringed on my rights to access an online casino. Yes, Kentucky borders Ohio, but thats on the southwestern side of the state and does not include where I am located.

Someone needs to look into this scenario and put a stop to Kentucky affecting my ability to log into an online casino.

What the heck!!!

So, Kentucky is now taking over Ohio too?

I think they've overstepped their bounds with their fiasco on banning internet players, especially those who Do Not live in their state.

Is there an end to their demise for controlling our personal freedoms?

I think it's time to get on the bandwagon an tell the Kentucky lawmakers that the internet is our own personal space at home.

Re: Kentucky ban affecting Ohioans?

An investigation into this problem was done by another person and an answer to this problem was found.

It seems that since Ohio is bordered on the Southwestern edge by Kentucky, that I may be in a block of IP addys from there.

What I need to do now is to contact my ISP provider and have them assign me an IP block outside of Kentucky.

Which must mean that the casino in question, ie: Crazy Slots must be one of the many casinos that Kentucky has on its list. Until now, I havent had any problem logging onto any other casino.

I will keep you updated as to whether or not there were any problems getting my IP changed and how the change effects which casinos I can and cannot log into.
