Record Breaking Poker Event
The very first event of the L.A. Poker Classic at Commerce Casino has wrapped up but not before records were broken. This $355 buy-in event was the largest tournament ever at the casino with 5,847 but the winner was even more impressive.
Darrell Cain has used up all of his chips and thought that he was a goner when someone noticed that he actually had eight chips left on the table. He was called back to the table and went on to win! He took home $363,936.

"It's unbelievable," said Cain. "Those eight little green chips...Man, the good lord was looking over me. I'm just elated." Cain, who was taught to play poker by his father, will split the proceeds from his victory with his dad. "That's just the way we do it. We are a team at playing poker."
