Phil Ivey Tops All-Time Money List
World's best poker player, Phil Ivey has topped Poker's All-Time Money List! The list is based on live event tournaments. Ivey finished in second place at the 2010 Aussie Millions USD $100K Challenge tournament winning $600,000. That made his live tournament winnings total $12,802,783. That put him over the previous person at the top of that list, Daniel Negreanu, by about $400,000!
Ivey is known as a formidable opponent on the circuit. He began his streak in 2000 with a first-place finish in the USD $2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event. In 2002 he won three WSOP bracelets tying him for most bracelet wins in one year. Then in 2009 he won two more bracelets and won 1.4 million dollars.
Right now he is tied at sixth place for the most bracelet wins with seven of them.
There is no doubt that this guy knows what he is doing. Congrats to him and all of his wins. I am sure we will be hearing and seeing him for years to come.
