Phelps and Poker?

Although Phelps doesn't play poker to my knowledge he has become tied to a poker tournament winner. King the winner of the 2008 Poker Stars World Championship is now tied to Phelps.

Apparently in a forum he makes the statement that the bong in question is his and that someone else can confirm that fact. He then goes on too say that he wondered how much it would be worth on EBay.

Now let me say this you have to be a pot smoking idiot to make an admission like that on the internet. Secondly I know people would pay for it just because it has been in Phelps hands. But do we really want to do that.

Buying it should be illegal,putting it on EBay should be illegal. Profit made by the mistake of this young swimmer is just going to send out the wrong message. I don't think any of these guys have their heads on straight. Just my opinion take it or leave it.

I've read that Phelps does love to play poker - the big poker stars are his heroes.

As far as selling any type of drug paraphernalia on Ebay - it is definitely illegal. Ebay has security measures in place to prohibit the sales of many things, and I'm sure trying to sell a bong would send out red flags all over the place that would probably end up banning the would-be seller from the site.

They will find a way to sell it, they will just call it something else besides a bong, if it is going to bring in alot of money and advertising, they will do it. money rules everything.

I agree with you hb... I do not think anyone should make a profit off something like this. It is sending the wrong message to all the young people. It should be iilegal, just like any other drugs, or things you use to do them.
