Don't I know that's the truth, about the all-in part.
It's like a 50/50 chance of winning until the cards are flipped over.
I've done this too many times, call an all-in with a high pair or low pair and bust.
The way I've looked at this all-in thing over the past few years, don't call it unless you know for a fact your cards are higher or you have the winning hand.
It seems like 60+% of the time, even when I do have the best hand, I will bust out.
Just play smart is all I can think of while playing poker, oh, and have fun doing it.
